Sri Nithyananda Paramashiva Linga
All deities have been installed directly by and received prana prathishta from Swamiji himself. Prana prathishtha is the Vedic science of infusing life energy into the deities. Once that process is complete, the devatas become living, breathing entities that radiate super conscious energy.
The presiding deity of the temple, Sri Nithyanandeshwara Paramashiva Linga, is an exact replica of Sri Arunachaleshwara, the presiding deity of the Arunachaleshwara temple located at the base of Arunachala hill in the town of Thiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, India. At 4’ height and 4’ wide, it is the largest Shiva Linga in North America.
